Program description

The Confucius Institute for Science and Technology of BNTU annually together with the Northeastern University (Shenyang) organizes a two-week summer scientific and technical school for students of Chinese language courses. The summer school program includes acquaintance with Northeastern University - a partner university of BNTU - and the system of higher and technical education, university-based classes and language practice, visits to modern museums and monuments of the historical and cultural heritage of the Celestial Empire, as well as numerous events: acquaintance with the traditional Chinese culture, Chinese cuisine, the lunar calendar and related holidays and folk traditions.

Thanks to this summer camp, students have the opportunity to learn about the culture and science of China, as well as improve their level of Chinese. As a manifestation of the scientific and technical orientation of our Confucius Institute, the participants of the camp organized a visit to the Museum of Science and Technology of China, the Museum of Science and Technology of Liaoning Province, the Neusoft Technopark and the Computing Center. In addition, a lecture was organized on the history of the development of science and technology in China.
